The World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery (WSPCHS) welcomes you to our Seventh Scientific Meeting and the first joint meeting with The African Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery (ASPCHS), taking place in Marrakesh, from the 15th<\/sup> to the 19th<\/sup> of June 2022 in Morocco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last two years have been both challenging and exciting when it comes to continuous surgical training. The calling of the WSPCHS has always been to ensure the highest level of management of surgical processes to all children with CHD around the world. As a result, these last two years marked the founding of the world university for pediatric and congenital heart surgery. The organization of this fantastic scientific meeting comes to complete the scientific purposes of both societies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time in the African Continent, this exceptional edition will be a wonderful opportunity to meet experts from all continents of the world.  Pediatric and congenital heart surgeons and colleagues from related specialties are joining us in this exciting program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program committee in collaboration with ASPCHS has chosen two relevant topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tetralogy of Fallot from epidemiology to surgical management<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rheumatic heart diseases in pediatric population<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to these topics, two workshops will be organized:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Aortic and Mitral Valve Workshop:
    • Echocardiography<\/li><\/ul>
      • Aortic and mitral valve repair: Hands on sheep model<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
      • Tetralogy of Fallot workshop:
        • Echocardiography<\/li><\/ul>
          • Wet lab: Hands on 3D model.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            It will be an opportunity to initiate African cardiac surgery residents to the distinctive pediatric and congenital aspects of their specialty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            For the benefit of children across the world, this meeting aims to exchange scientific information, networks, establish friendships, professional connections, and build strong collaborations between these sister organizations<\/p>\n\n\n\n
